Take a deep breath..you are going to need it (hunger pang)
A Breatharian is someone who doesn't eat food! A boring and ridiculous life choice i know - but is it actually possible?! I was interested to find out.
So my journey led me to a couple of breatharians. Most claimed to draw nutrition and energy from sun gazing, being one with nature, meditation and (special) breathing techniques. Most of them claim to not eat anything at all, however a few of them had been “caught” and scandalized with hamburgers and biriyanis :) Now in all true honesty i thought this was pretty unfair. If these people claimed to live without food - surely occasionally they should have the right to eat a burger?! or put something in their mouths to taste without being attacked?? I could never imagine not ever tasting anything again :( But the problem was that they claimed to not eat AT ALL! They had trapped themselves! They also had to separate themselves in ways i deemed too sacrificial & unnecessary in order to lead this life without food mainly because they became over sensitive to pollution, negative energy and low frequencies.
There was another breatharian i did come across who claimed differently. He claimed that he got his energy from GOD! Which he related as the “word frequency” or in other words…”love” - he did consume the communion (holy sacrament) daily as well. Whilst the thought of relying purely on “GOD” to give me food seemed a little scary, unfamiliar and undefined to me i was drawn to this teaching and method a little more as this breatharian (although still weird in every way) seemed more social and open. He made it seem like anyone could do it and it didn't seem like such a long drawn out, torturous process. Basically this guy, Kirby de Lanerolle is his name - made it look easier!
He was also not averse to eating now and again and admitted he ate something now and again and he loved to TASTE FOOD! (hallelujah! no wonder he was referred to as the "happy breatharian”) So unlike the other breatharians i came across - he seems to be…free-er in many ways - to eat or not to eat
This seemed a more palatable road to head down as he taught people to reduce food intake as opposed to stop it all together. A lot of people who completed his program claimed to have reduced their food intake to something like three meals a week!?!? And note: they claim to be happy, healthy and more energetic than ever before. They do mention that they juice and don’t entirely starve themselves during the rest of the time. But what was interesting is that normal people would be satisfied and benefited to lead their lives in such a manner. They didn't miss the food. they didn't feel they were deprived and felt free to eat whenever they wanted should they feel hungry or led to. They just didn't feel “trapped” to eat because of traditional meal times, hunger, low energy etc - because they took themselves out of that grid! Talk about a paradigm mind shift! They claimed to have been re-programmed by Kirby’s teachings and the…(wait for it) “holy communion!"
Well following all this i also happened to watch Micheal Mosley’s documentary “Eat, Fast, Live Long” and learned that food was directly linked to ageing and dying young…so i couldn't help think what good timing all this was in awakening me to enforce some changes in my life…Whilst I’m not (exactly) a God believing man as such - i couldn't help but think this was divine synchronicity. Don’t get me wrong - I’m not excitedly leaning forward to follow the likes of Kirby and partake of the holy communion expecting it to give me life just yet….however i am very open to the possibility that man truly doesn't live on bread alone…and certainly not too much of it.
